Part 2

-Kuja (who was also responsible for the assassination) meets with Beatrix and temps her by convincing her that the legendary ALEXANDER the strongest of all the Eidolons has the power to "supposedly" bring the dead back to life and Beatrix can use it to bring back her Husband and biological Daughter, Kuja tells Beatrix that she needs all the fragmented pieces that make up the whole gem used to summon ALEXANDER that owned by the other Country's and summoner village, in order to do this, and offers his "assistance" (when he really wants ALEXANDER for himself to free himself from Garland.) by handing out black mages, and Beatrix slowly let's her strong desire to bring her husband and daughter back to life get the better of her.

-The game starts with Garnet's kidnapping and when Zidane and Garnet meet again Zidane is shocked to find out that the girl he met before is the princess of Alexandria (He didn't know Garnet's true identity back when they met before, Garnet chose the alias Dagger.), but then things go wrong and Zidane and Garnet are captured, Zidane gets thrown in the dungeon, while garnet gets SOME of her Eidolons painfully Extracted from her, in the dungeon where Zidane is being held he is being watched by Steiner who is growing increasingly worried by what appears to be Garnet cries of pain, but dosn't listen to Zidane frantic requests to let him out, so Zidane goes crazy and goes into trance for the first time and breaks out and rushes to garnet and rescues her before all her Eidolons are extracted (because you know, you want to the give the player satisfaction by interfering with the plan, because it was REALLY stupid and unsatisfying that you were pretty much forced to hand over the Eidolons in the game and you are even able to prevent all of them from being Extracted.) and then the same events pretty much happen and VIVI and Steiner come along, except that Garnet explains to Zidane and the others what's going on.

-When the black waltzes fail to capture Garnet, Beatrix decides to send Lani and Amarant, Amarant is confused and suspicious but Beatrix promises that if he brings back Garnet, Beatrix will pardon Amarant's crimes and get rid of his wanted posters in Alexandria. (It didn't really make sense why the queen didn't continue to send people after Garnet after she made it past the gate and into Lindblum.)

-The party Explains things to Cid, and Freya is introduced and instead of the Characters acting like total idiots when news of Burmecia being attacked comes up, Zidane suggests that Garnet should be taking to the legendary village of summoners and gain more Eidolons and learn about their powers in order to stop Kuja (whom they are informed about and rightfully decide they should focus on.) Cid reluctantly agrees, and has Zidane, vivi and Garnet go to the outer continent to get the other Eidolons, Steiner and Freya go to burmecia because Freya is familiar with the areas and to gain assistance from the burmecians/cleyrans and Steiner might be able do something about some of the Alexandrian soldiers, oh and have actual development with Beatrix and show their feelings (which was pretty forced in the game, oh and there used to be a love triangle between the king, Beatrix and Steiner.) but a lot of conflict between them arises throught burmecia and Cleyra (oh and Beatrix isn't an annoying God mode sue.)

-Cid also sends Tantalus to Treno to find out more about Kuja (and unpetrify Blank or not, personally I felt that whole was just a pointless Dropped a Bridge on him moment.) This scenario would play a lot like the one in FF6 where you choose which group you play as and so forth.
